Geoffrey Ndubisi Nwobu, Deputy Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Tuesday, sounded the drums to rally the people of Anambra, towards what he says is a battle to fix the state, one in which he emphasised that every true son must engage in.
In a new-month message on the first day of July, 2025, Nwobu while congratulating the people for stepping into the historic month, reminded them that for the state, it remained significant given the opportunity it offered for them to rescue the state and put in on a trajectory of true development.
The message of Nwobu, a vibrant, astute and versatile politician, came on the day the ADC was formally adopted by opposition groups in Nigeria as the consensus Special Purpose (SPV) of the coalition being packaged in the last months to oust the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power.
Led by Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President, the coalition, formally made good its pitch, as indicated recently, for the party, after a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, where it also announced a gamut of events that would enhance its formidability as the platform that would give a new lease of life to Nigeria and Nigerians.
Latching on the development, Nwobu, moved to rouse the people, in a short, but moving message, outlining the focus of using the proposed governorship election on November 8 to introduce a fresh impetus in the political landscape of the state and Nigeria in general.
He wrote in the message, which he personally signed:
My dear Ndi Anambra,
As we join millions around the world in welcoming the blessings of a new month, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. May this new month bring renewed hope, fresh energy, and the determination to pursue greater possibilities — both personally and collectively.
This new month is not just another page on the calendar; it is a timely reminder of the fresh chapter we are about to write together in the history of Anambra State. As the November 8th governorship election draws near, we edge closer to the dawn of a new kind of leadership — one built on integrity, inclusiveness, and service to the people.
I urge every Anambra son and daughter, at home and in the diaspora, to embrace this season of renewal with active civic participation. Let us adopt new strategies — by engaging, enlightening, and empowering one another — as we collectively work to Secure Anambra Again and restore our beloved state to its place of honour and pride.
Together, we can return Anambra to the glory of its past and build a future that our children will be proud of.
Wishing you all a peaceful, purposeful, and prosperous new month.
God bless Anambra State.
God bless the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
