Reno Omokri, a former friend-turned foe of Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has admitted smiling to the back following his relentless attacks on the former Governor of Anambra State and engagement with his supporters on the social media.
He did not say how he made the mega money, but couched it in an imagery of a swelling account, in one of the many tweets from his Twitter handle on Sunday, where he also described Obi, whom he once said was fit to be President, as a “good man.”
“Obi is not entirely bad,” the former spokesman to Goodluck Jonathan, former President, who has since pitched his tent with former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, currently the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Stating that the greatest problem he had with the former governor, had to do with Obidients, an acronym used by his followers, whom he described as overly aggressive, he said he was simply concerned about what would happen to Nigeria if the LP candidate became President.
Hear him: Obidients are a curse to Obi. The man himself is not so bad. But with the behaviour of Obidients, you are afraid of what will become of Nigeria if power gets to their hands. Many are just unnecessarily and scarily aggressive. May power never get to their hands.
The Obidient movement is more suited for war than politics. In fact, it is a misnomer to call it a movement. It is a militancy. With few exceptions, the difference between the Obidient movement and Boko Haram is ideology. Both want to use force to have their way.
The Obidient movement has benefited me more than Peter Obi. They have alienated Obi from other Nigerians and rendered him electorally inconsequential. But they have given more engagement on EVERY social media platforms and exploded my bank account. Thank you guys.”
